Relais Colline San Biagio

Relais San Biagio is a mediaeval monastery of the 13th century, with garden and outdoor jacuzzi with views of the Tuscan countryside. Parking is free, and Florence is 25 km away. Suites at the Colline San Biagio offer antique furniture, wood beams on the ceilings, and individual decorations in Tuscan style. Each has a private bathroom with original Carrara marble. Colline San Biagio Relais features a cosy bar, and comfortable and refined dining rooms. All meals are homemade. Common areas at the San Biagio also include a TV lounge, a music room with piano, and a billiard room with an original 18th-century table. There is also an underground gym with stone walls. The Relais is a short walk from the centre of the pleasant village of Bacchereto. Apartments are also available in a historic building 100 metres from the main one.

Located in the heart of the Tuscan hills in the picturesque medieval little village of Bacchereto, between Florence, Prato and Pistoia, this residence is surrounded by wonderful vinegar and olive groves, offering the opportunity to spend a relaxing holiday in an exclusive, comfortable and elegant setting, immersed in the traditional natural Tuscan landscape. In the past, Bacchereto was famous for the production of pottery known as Majolica; this town used to be the centre point for this kind of production from the end of the 13th Century until the middle of the 15th Century. The richness of the ground, the position and the dramatic difference in the weather between winter and summer, makes the Carmignano and Bacchereto area one of the best places for the cultivation of olive oil trees. So thanks to its position in this territory, this residence produces an excellent olive oil of great quality and the beautiful Carmignano red wine. Our resort offers the possibility to enjoy an ideal and relaxing holiday in a secluded environment surrounded by nature and famous historical sites. Within easy reach are the Medici Villas in Poggio a Caiano and Artimino, and a burial ground dating back to the Etruscan Time in Montefortini e Comeana. You can visit Siena and its Duomo, Piazza del Campo, Palazzo Pubblico, the Mangia Tower and the Duomo of San Gimignano. There is also Pisa and the Piazza dei Miracoli, where it is possible to see the Romanesque cathedral, the leaning tower and the Monumental Cemetery.

This suite is the biggest room in our farmhouse and it is called the Wheat Bedroom as it is characterised by its green decor. There are 3 large windows which feature a wonderful view of the landscape which surrounds the farm. This suite is the most isolated of our rooms, so it offers an intimate and romantic atmosphere, completed immersed in silence, nature and peace.
